Acceptance

By creating an account or using ScriptBase, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

The service

ScriptBase is an AI-powered transcription and captioning tool. You submit media you own or are licensed to use — by uploading an audio or video file, or by providing a link to media you control — and we return a text transcript, captions, or subtitles. You purchase credits and consume them as you transcribe. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service with reasonable notice.

Accounts

• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure
• One person or legal entity per account
• You must be at least 13 years old to use the service

Credits & payments

• Credits are purchased through Polar
• One credit transcribes one minute of media
• Credits do not expire
• Prices may change with 30 days notice; existing credits are not affected

Refunds

Credits are prepaid. Because each transcription consumes provider resources at the moment it runs, credits are generally non-refundable. We review refund requests on a case-by-case basis at our discretion — if a job fails on our side or you were charged in error, contact support and we will make it right.

Content ownership & rights

You may only submit media that you own or that you have the rights or a license to transcribe. By submitting media to ScriptBase, you represent and warrant that:

• You own the content, or hold the necessary rights, licenses, or permissions to process it
• Transcribing the content does not infringe any third party's copyright, contract, or other rights
• You will not submit content you accessed in violation of any platform's terms of service

ScriptBase does not host, publish, or redistribute your source media. We process it solely to generate the transcript you requested and return it to you. You are solely responsible for the media you submit and how you use the transcripts you receive.

Third-party platforms

ScriptBase is a transcription engine — not a downloader, scraper, or archive. We do not crawl, bulk-collect, store, or redistribute content from third-party platforms, and we do not circumvent paywalls, DRM, or any platform's access controls. When you provide a link, you are directing us to media you are authorized to access; we process it transiently, fetching only what is needed to produce your transcript and retaining no copy of the source once the job completes.

You are responsible for complying with the terms of any platform your media originates from. You agree not to use ScriptBase to access or process content you are not authorized to use, or in any way that violates a platform's terms of service.

Intellectual property

Transcripts you generate are yours. You retain all rights to your source media; we claim no ownership of it. The ScriptBase name, logo, and platform design remain our property.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any unlawful purpose
• Submit media you do not own and are not licensed or authorized to transcribe
• Use the service to infringe copyright or other intellectual property rights
• Attempt to reverse-engineer or extract the underlying AI models
• Resell or redistribute the service itself
• Abuse the API or attempt to circumvent rate limits

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this policy.

Copyright & takedowns (DMCA)

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content processed through ScriptBase infringes your copyright, contact us at support@scriptbase.app with a description of the work, the material at issue, your contact information, and a good-faith statement of infringement. We will investigate and remove infringing material and terminate repeat infringers.

Availability & warranties

ScriptBase is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. AI-generated transcripts may vary in accuracy and are not guaranteed to meet specific requirements.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, ScriptBase and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless ScriptBase and its operators from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of any third-party rights or applicable laws — including any claim that media you submitted infringed a third party's rights.

Termination

You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms. Upon termination, your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these terms or your use of the service will be subject to the courts located there.
